Candice Jenisek – founder
Candice’s passion for animals blossomed at a young age during the time she spent with her great grandmother Irene who taught her the importance of treating animals with respect and kindness. She knew from a young age she wanted to always work with animals and has had many pets over the years. The volunteer work she has done at Lake Humane Society for over 5 years only solidified that desire and taught her invaluable skills.
She has been independently serving Lake County pet parents during the years she was obtaining her Bachelors in Biology from Cleveland State University. She is now ready to continue her passion with the launch of Wagging Tail Lodge.

Stacy Jenisek – cofounder
Stacy grew up with variety of animals, such as dogs, cats, parrots and even chickens. Stacy nurtured Candice’s love for animals by helping her raise an even more vast home of animals such as hamsters, lizards and bunnies.
Stacy’s experience in childcare settings allowed her to foster young minds and provide them the passion to explore our animal kingdom beyond their imaginations. Stacy encouraged Candice’s fascination for animals as a child, which ultimately resulted in the foundation of this business.
