- Why Wagging Tail Lodge?
Because we are ambitious! Our goal is to open a full service boarding facility in the near future. Stay tuned for updates on our website and on Facebook.
- What do your certifications mean?
Our certifications mean that we can provide the highest quality pet care for you and your family! We are licensed with the state of Ohio, meaning we are federally compliant to run our business. We are also insured and bonded, giving you peace of mind in case any accident may happen while your pets are in our care. Candice is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International. This is a designation given to professionals who pass a comprehensive test and continuous training regarding all aspects of health, safety, cleaning, client interactions and more. She is also Pet First Aid & CPCR certified through Pet Sitters International.
- Will I have a dedicated pet sitter and/or walker?
We will strive to accommodate any and all clients! If your dog takes awhile to warm up to new people, a dedicated sitter or walker can be assigned, but please note that schedules fill up fast and we may not be able to guarantee short notice requests. If your animals are happy go lucky and friendly with all, we may have two to three sitters assigned depending on the length and duration of your needs.
- What is a crash tested harness? Where can I get one?
Crash tested harnesses are harnesses that are rigorously tested by a safety facility for measures such as canine excursion, integrity and migration of the material. These harnesses are designed to keep your pet safely inside a vehicle without hurting them in case of a crash or accident. We can provide crash tested harnesses for you, as we carry various sizes, or you may provide your own. Some examples of harnesses and where to get them are SleepyPod Clickit Sport Crash-Tested Car Safety Harness, Ruffwear Load Up Harness, and Kurgo Tru-Fit Crash Tested Harness.
- What training do our dogs need for walks or excursions?
We do not require our dogs to have any sort of training for walks or excursions. If your dog is trained, however, we are willing to learn and walk the way your pup is used to! We work with all training tools, such as collars, harnesses, prong collars, e-collars, head halters and more. However, some employees are more comfortable working with certain tools than others. We will work hard to match walkers with dogs that can work well together!
- What areas in Northeast Ohio do you service?
We currently serve all of Lake County.
- How will you notify me if there is a problem or concern?
We have several options available to contact you. We will attempt to reach you via Time to Pet’s texting. Based on how you set up your account, this may be received on your end as a text, message in the app or email. For immediate emergencies, we may call you or your emergency contacts.
- What do you require to book?
We require inquiring clients to fill out their pets information in our scheduler, Time to Pet, and request a meet and greet! More information can be found in our “How to Book” section.
- Are you/your employees okay with security cameras inside my home?
We are happy to work with owners of security cameras! All outdoor cameras, as well as indoor cameras during walks, drop in visits, taxi services and excursions, have no requirements. For overnights, our sitters are able to turn around or turn off indoor cameras at their discretion for privacy purposes.
